Our Core Services and Strategies

Individualized assessment and therapy

Behavior analysts assess each child’s strengths and deficits and design training methods based on scientific principles to promote independence in communication, concentration, self-help skills,  social interaction, and academic activities.

Managing Behavior Problems and Early Intervention

Children with Autism may exhibit behavioral issues. Behavior analysts identify the function/causes of these challenging behaviors and replace harmful behaviors with appropriate, meaningful ones.

Improving Communication

The intervention plan, started at an early stage, stimulates meaningful communication through verbal and nonverbal behaviors, clarity and fluency in using words and sentences, concept formation, and comprehension.

Skill building for daily living activities

Therapists promote the development of skills necessary for children to function in their daily lives, including self-care, productivity, leisure, and sensory integration, which helps children gain independence and improve their learning, vocation, and overall well-being.

Parent training based on ABA

Parent training programs based on ABA are essential for parents of children with special needs to reduce challenging behaviors and encourage appropriate behaviors.  Parents are shown the intervention strategies they can carry out at home.

Sensory integration

Some people with Autism experience sensory issues. They may have difficulty in sensory inputs, interpret sensory experience and give appropriate response to the situation. People having heightened or blunted sensory issues benefit from sensory integration program.

Inclusive education support

Children learning in the same class can have different educational goals based on their skills. Our professionals provide support for children in consultation with school authorities in modifying the curriculum for the child based on their ability when a child has many challenges in learning the subject due to their unique needs or skill deficits that cannot be dealt with in other ways.

Shadow teachers

Shadow teachers play an essential role in supporting inclusive education. Children with special needs may need assistance in various school activities. Shadow teachers support children by ensuring their safety and supervision, observing them in the classroom, and identifying opportunities to socialize with other children.

Remedial training for specific learning disabilities (SLD)

Remedial education aims to assist students with SLD and those with academic difficulties in reading, writing, or calculations. Students can improve educational progress with practical remedial assistance, stimulating instructional tactics, and closer monitoring. A remedial instructor demonstrates to the child and the parent how to deal with and overcome academic and non-academic challenges.

Home skills training

Independent living at home requires training in several skills such as managing personal hygiene, toileting, brushing, dressing, grooming, making bed, and keeping the room clean and tidy.

Diagnostic and IQ assessments

It is desirable to identify Autism in early development period usually before the age of 5 years. Uneven development sometimes complicates the assessment. The RP Autism Centre offer diagnostic assessment of Autism for all ages, children as well as adults.

Skills assessment

Adaptive behavior assessment is crucial to determine at what level an individual is functioning in daily living activities. Once we know in what areas the person is independent and on what areas support is required at what level, a program is developed with target behaviors to be achieved in a given period of time.

Respite care services

Parents and caregivers need time and space for themselves. If both the parents are working, respite care may be necessary for after school hours, on holidays and family vacation. Need based respite care can be provided by the Centre.
